My Weekend in Pictures
My sister finally made it down to Kent for the weekend! We had been talking about her and her partner Dave coming for a visit for nearly a year. The last time they were here was almost two years ago, so it's been a little while! I kicked the weekend off by making a big batch of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and the food continued from there. Ellie and I made bear claws for Sunday breakfast, and despite adding a little too much cinnamon to the apple mixture they still tasted great and were a nice indulgent breakfast. We ended up having a bit of a chilled weekend choosing to spend it in coffee shops and strolling around town. Sunday proved to be a bit of a more energetic day (maybe from the bear claws!) as we ended up walking to Whitstable. Luckily we beat the weather and had fish and chips at Whitstable Harbour before it started raining, which caused us to take shelter in a coffee shop for green tea and the biggest slice of coffee and walnut cake I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend Whitstable Coffee Company if you ever find yourself that way, their sandwiches looked pretty tasty too! After all of that food we were much too full to walk home so took the bus instead, picking Robert up from work on the way.
Last week I bought myself some tulips and they looked so cheerful and bright that I had to take multiple blurry pictures to round this weekend off!
