Life Lately

Happy Tuesday folks! How good is it that we have another long weekend coming up?! I'm going to be working Saturday morning and then in the afternoon my family and I are headed to the theatre to see some ballet which I'm really looking forward to. As usual though I can't believe we're almost at the end of the month and I'm so confused as to where all that time has gone.

This month some of that time has been put towards sorting out the house a bit more. This last weekend our landlords installed shutters in our front window, which look so snazzy and have made such a difference to the light levels. We also painted some more of our (current) living room, gone now are the pale blue walls replaced with nice clean white walls and skirting board. It makes me so happy.

On Sunday R and I headed out for our now weekly coffee visit which is one of my favourite things to do. I also ended up reading The Rivers of London and started watching GirlBoss on Netflix, which I'm kinda meh about. Have you watched it, what do you think? I've not read the book and honestly I'm not sure I'm that interested in it as the programme makes her seem a right jerk. Am I wrong, is it worth it?

I finished reading Half of a Yellow Sun which I really couldn't put down, and if you haven't read it then I seriously recommend it. I picked up a whole bunch of books to read from my parents when we were there for Easter, so I'm planning to read The Muse next, along with a bunch of work reading too!

This month I've been working on some more embroidery hoops for my Etsy shop and working on a little series of them. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them some more and some new colour combinations too, although I've been lacking in some creativity in the last few weeks. I haven't managed to get much further with my next pair of trousers, partly because I left them at my parents house after thinking I could work on them a bit over Easter.

Have you got much planned for the bank holiday weekend?
