Happy List :: Thirty-Two

It’s been a fairly quiet couple of weeks around here, mostly spent working or reading and catching up on sleep. My spooky reading is going well, but has made me extra jumpy- if that’s even possible! R has had a few more days away for work, which meant Pumpkin and I had a couple of evenings together watching rom-coms. Getting a cat is definitely one of the best decisions we made this year, her constant presence is always a great comfort. It just means I bore everyone I know by constantly talking about her…I’m working on that one. Here are some recent highlights from the last few weeks:

  1. A Saturday afternoon catch-up with old friends and eating scones. You can’t really go wrong by spending time with great people and eating tasty food!

  2. After making these chocolate cookies I may have ended up eating a few too many. They also may have made up most of a dinner one night while R was away too…

  3. The last few weeks have been spent watching all the best seasonal movies including: You’ve Got Mail, Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters. I couldn’t stop laughing whilst we watched Ghostbusters, their interpretation of academics was priceless!

  4. Ticking all the things off my to-do list and feeling like I’ve got my shit together.

  5. A super snuggly cat. Pumpkin has been super cuddly recently, and, of course, I’m loving it. She keeps coming to curl up on my lap and cuddles us in bed. It’s the best.

  6. Long lazy Sunday mornings in bed spent reading, chatting on the phone, and being a general lazy bum.

  7. Beautiful flowers in just the right colours for autumn. I may have picked up a couple of mini succulents recently too, fingers crossed I can keep them alive better than the last!

  8. Flicking through cookbooks in the shop and making a list of my favourite ones for my birthday.

  9. Being asked to be a bridesmaid for my lovely friend. I’m very much looking forward to catching up with these guys very soon!

  10. The cutest dog, Pickles, visited the office last week, and it was possibly the best day ever!
