Snapshots of Milan
Oh my gosh, where has the time gone?! I can't believe that this time last week we were in Milan with temperatures in the 30s and now we're back in rainy England and it's so so cold. My handover period at work is over now so it's all down to me which is really exciting and also a little scary! I ran my first children's craft club this week which was so much fun if a little daunting, but I think it went pretty well and everyone seemed to enjoy it which is good! Robert and I decided to go to Byron for a date night this weekend which was pretty good but not half as good as a burger we got in Italy. I know, burgers in Italy, what are you thinking? But, trust me, it was one of the best things we ate in Milan, and people always say to eat like a local so we did. We did eat a fair amount of pizza, pasta, gelato and lemon soda (which is the most refreshing drink) and even picnicked in the park by Castello Sforzesca which was lovely. To make up for all the food we ate we did an incredible amount of walking and Robert did even more with walking to and from work (not so much of a holiday for him!). We decided to take things easy for the times when Robert didn't have to work, and tried to get a feel of Milan by just exploring the streets and wandering around. We couldn't miss checking out the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II with all it's fancy shops. Robert managed to find the Ferrari shop on our first day in Milan which he was extremely happy about and we may have made a second visit there later on in the week. I still have a fair few photos left from our trip that I still have to sort through as well as from our day at Lake Como, I'm clearly trying to drag out that holiday feeling for as long as possible!
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend :)
