A Christmas Wreath

So on Monday this week my mum came for a visit as I had the day off, yay! I had so many plans for the day, mostly consisting of making mince pies, sausage rolls, listening to Christmas music and general festiveness. Our main plan however was to make a Christmas wreath. Wreath03 Wreath01We had both collected up a few bits and pieces from walks we’d been on and mum brought along some dried orange slices to use. We had holly, ivy, bay leaves along with pine cones, and other evergreen branches that my mum had collected from work to build up the wreath around a willow base.

Consequently I’m even more excited for Christmas break and spending a little time with the rest of my family. Robert is going back to Dorset to see his folks for Christmas so we’ll be having our own mini celebration before we leave Canterbury. Our plan is to have a roast dinner with as many of the trimmings as we can, open our presents to each other and watch a good movie. Honestly it sounds like most of our special occasion evenings together, what can I say, we enjoy good food and each other’s company ☺
