Running: A Workout Wishlist
So I know I said in my previous post that I was only planning on doing some gentle yoga to start the year off but I really want to try and get into running. Over the last three or four years I've really tried to be the type of person that goes for a run and actually enjoys it. I've tried to do the Couch to 5K using the app, but it kept crashing on me, so I took that as a sign to give running a break. But this year I really want to give it a shot, so I figured what better way to commit to it than to look into getting some snazzy new running gear. 2015 was a pretty good year fitness wise for me, I got myself to the gym about 3 times a week (...okay okay, not every month, but there was a good long period where that did totally happen). I completed a 30 day yoga challenge and I properly started weight training. So this year I want to mix up my fitness sessions with yoga, weights and running because they're all things I can do fairly cheap- I can do yoga at home, and old housemate Steve left his weights when he went back to America which is immensely helpful!
I'm hoping that some new workout wear will help with the motivation to actually go running in the evenings after work, which is always tricky especially as it's still so dark and now it's getting even colder! Fingers crossed, eh ;)
